Put these bottles in the right order and the packaging starts playing tennis. For a collaboration between Temper and cider maker Luka Zeichmann, Vienna’s Hono broke the last four seconds of the 2008 Nadal–Federer Wimbledon final into 60 frames. One frame per bottle.
Green and purple reference the court. Munich’s Herr & Frau Rio printed the base labels using Risograph; the individual frames were finished and numbered by hand. The neatest detail is the ball. Rather than printing a circle, they punched a hole in the paper. Hold it to the light and the cider becomes the ball.
We like how movement emerges from objects that normally stand still. No screen required: just sequence, light and someone willing to rearrange the bottles. It’s Nice That has the project images and animation. This is a link worth opening.
